The owner feedback highlights reliability, and it also describes the RX as dependable and comfortable to live with over time. That combination matters if you want a luxury SUV you can count on for everyday use without constant drama.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Lexus RX?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 23.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 106 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.68% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $40,707 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $41,013 CAD sits slightly below last year's $43,950 CAD.

That softer pricing can be good news if you're buying now, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices stay under pressure. Even so, the RX's strong owner satisfaction helps support demand, which can cushion resale performance over time. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintenance records organised, you should be in a better position when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.92/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 23.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.68% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.92/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $40,073 CAD, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $41,013 CAD average.
• It offers flexible two-row or three-row seating.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $43,698 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $41,013 CAD average.
• It adds new colours and a standalone fog lamps option.

The bottom line: The 2021 is the best all-around choice if you want strong owner satisfaction, a softer price trend, and a broad pool of listings to compare. If your priority is saving as much as possible, the 2020 is the better value play; if you want to spend more for a newer model year, the 2022 is the next step up.
