Used 2020 Lexus RX for Sale near Ontario

How much does the 2020 Lexus RX cost?

Prices have softened 5.73% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 95 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Lexus RX a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Lexus RX earns a 4.9/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Cost effectiveness.

You’ll see the same themes come up again and again: a luxury feel, a quiet cabin, and a smooth ride. It also gets credit for reliability, with owners describing it as dependable and a vehicle they can count on over the long term.

The main trade-offs are its unintuitive technology and the touchpad interface, which can be frustrating to use. That matters most if you want a midsize luxury SUV for relaxed commuting, family duty, and a refined driving experience rather than a tech-forward cabin.

With 33.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s enough market activity to make shopping worthwhile without feeling rushed.

Is the 2020 Lexus RX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback repeatedly points to the RX as reliable, dependable, and trouble-free over the long term. The expert road test also describes the drivetrain and operation as smooth, which supports the impression of an SUV that should feel easy to live with day to day.

Lexus also includes a three-year subscription to Lexus Enform Safety Connect and a 10-year subscription to Enform Service Connect, which adds some ownership convenience. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about mechanical drama and more about whether the technology and connected services still suit your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Lexus RX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin is well appointed across the range, with heated and ventilated front seats, heated outboard second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, heated exterior mirrors, leather seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel standard. F Sport appearance packages add a more aggressive look and unique interior touches, but they are mainly about style rather than a different mission.
• Powertrain: The RX 350 uses a 3.5-litre V6 with an eight-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive in Canada. The hybrid RX 450h adds an electric motor for more output and better efficiency, while the RX 450h L uses the same hybrid setup in three-row form.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 is standard, including adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a backup camera, daytime bicyclist detection, low-light pedestrian detection, road-sign assist, and lane-tracing assist. Those features are standard across the model.
• Infotainment: The RX comes with an 8.0-inch display, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen is available. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and Lexus added two extra USB ports for 2020, bringing the total to six.
• Fuel efficiency: The RX 350 is rated at 10.8 L/100 km combined, while the RX 350 L uses 11.1 L/100 km combined. The RX 450h is rated at 7.9 L/100 km combined, and the RX 450h L at 8.1 L/100 km combined.

Which 2020 Lexus RX trim should I buy?

The 2020 Lexus RX is offered in 4 trim levels: RX 350, RX 350 L, RX 450h, RX 450h L.

Here's the short version:

• RX 350: This is the best fit if you want the core RX experience: a smooth V6, standard all-wheel drive, strong comfort, and the broadest appeal for everyday use.
• RX 350 L: Choose this if you need the three-row layout and want the same easygoing character as the standard RX, with the added flexibility of extra seating.
• RX 450h: This is the best-value pick if fuel efficiency matters to you, since it adds hybrid efficiency without giving up the RX’s comfort-first personality.
• RX 450h L: Pick this only if you want both the hybrid powertrain and the three-row body style, since it combines the most flexibility with the strongest efficiency story.

Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 is standard across the range, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core safety suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Lexus RX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 95 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.73% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $38,794 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $38,794 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,153 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the RX has become a bit easier to buy than it was a year ago, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right number. If you pay close to the current average, you may have less room to absorb depreciation later. On the other hand, a well-kept RX with the right equipment should still appeal to shoppers who want a quiet, comfortable luxury SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Lexus RX safe?

The Lexus RX has received good safety ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) as the result of crash tests.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 is standard, and it includes adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a backup camera, daytime bicyclist detection, low-light pedestrian detection, road-sign assist, and lane-tracing assist. The system is broad and well equipped, and road-sign assist and lane-tracing assist worked as advertised in testing.

One caveat is that Lexus Enform Safety Connect did not always connect reliably during testing, so the connected emergency-service side of ownership may be less dependable than the rest of the safety package.

Should I buy a 2020 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 model year adds a refreshed look and standard daytime bicyclist detection, low-light pedestrian detection, road-sign assist, and lane-tracing assist.

The bottom line: If you want the RX with the updated 2020 equipment and a market that is a bit softer than last year, this is a sensible year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2020 gives you a strong mix of comfort, safety, and value.

How does the 2020 Lexus RX compare to the 2021 Toyota Venza?

Our experts score the 2020 Lexus RX 8.2/10 and the 2021 Toyota Venza 8.3/10.

The RX is the more powerful and more premium-feeling choice, while the Venza leans harder into efficiency and lower running costs. The Lexus also offers a three-row RX-L version, which gives you more seating flexibility than the Toyota. If you want a quieter, more luxurious SUV, the RX makes sense; if you want a more affordable hybrid with stronger fuel economy, the Venza is the practical pick.
