Used 2023 Lexus RX for Sale near Ontario

How much does the 2023 Lexus RX cost?

Prices have softened 10.11% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 231 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Lexus RX a good car?

Yes — you rate it 5/5, and our experts score it 7.2/10. The RX is built around the qualities many luxury crossover buyers want most, including reliability, refinement, safety, and style, and the redesigned version adds enough dynamic and technological upgrades to feel meaningfully improved. The cabin is a clear strength, with comfortable seating and premium interior materials, and the technology is a standout as well.

The model scores 8/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

The main trade-offs are that the standard suspension can produce a woozy ride on imperfect pavement, and cargo space is limited. It suits you best if you want a polished two-row midsize luxury SUV that feels upscale and modern rather than especially sporty. The market shows 28.6% of listings as good or great deals, which is a solid sign of availability for value-minded shoppers.

Is the 2023 Lexus RX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. Lexus has long built the RX around reliability, refinement, safety, and style, and this redesigned version continues that formula while aiming for a better balance overall. The expert assessment also frames it as a loyal-following model that has cultivated its reputation over time.

The turbocharged 2.4-litre engine is described as a good choice, and it performs better at higher altitude while returning slightly better fuel economy than the outgoing V6. Lexus also positions the RX as a refined, dependable luxury crossover, which supports confidence if you plan to keep it for the long haul.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that some of the RX’s convenience and technology features may be more complex than you need, so it’s worth checking that everything works as intended.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Lexus RX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The RX 350 is offered with F Sport 1, Luxury, F Sport 2, Executive, and F Sport 3 trims. The cabin is modern and upscale, with fewer buttons and knobs than before, digital instrumentation, and available premium materials such as genuine leather and simulated suede. Base versions still focus more on comfort and refinement than on flashy extras.
• Powertrain: The RX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-litre inline four-cylinder engine with 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It returns slightly better fuel economy than the outgoing V6, but it does not sound as smooth and refined.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 includes lane departure warning, automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, motorcycle detection, evasive steering assistance, intersection turn assistance with front cross-traffic alert, and a curve speed-reduction function with adaptive cruise control. Some features can be harder to interpret on models with a head-up display.
• Infotainment: Lexus Interface uses a 9.8-inch or 14-inch touchscreen and includes wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, satellite radio, and connected services. Digital instrumentation is standard, and a digital rearview mirror and digital key smartphone technology are available.
• Fuel efficiency: The RX 350 AWD is estimated to average 9.9 L/100 km in combined driving.

Which 2023 Lexus RX trim should I buy?

The 2023 Lexus RX is offered in 5 trim levels: F Sport 1, Luxury, F Sport 2, Executive, and F Sport 3.

Here's the short version:

• F Sport 1: This is the entry point if you want the redesigned RX’s core luxury, comfort, and technology without moving too far up the price ladder. It gives you the new cabin, the standard safety suite, and the modern infotainment setup, making it the best-value starting point for many shoppers.
• Luxury: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay for a richer cabin experience. It suits you if comfort and premium ambience matter more than sportier tuning.
• F Sport 2: This is the middle-ground choice if you want a more distinctive appearance and a step up in equipment without going all the way to the top trims.
• Executive: This trim is for you if you want a more fully equipped RX with a stronger emphasis on luxury and convenience. It’s the right pick if you want the most polished everyday experience.
• F Sport 3: This is the most performance-oriented RX 350 trim mentioned here, and it adds adaptive damping suspension and upgraded brakes. It suits you best if you want the most controlled feel of the group, though the ride and handling trade-offs are still worth considering.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard across the range.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lexus RX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 231 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.11% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $49,591 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $49,917 CAD sits slightly below last year's $55,528 CAD.

That price movement suggests the RX has become more accessible for buyers, which can make it easier for you to find a competitive used example now. For a future seller, the softer market means you may need to price carefully to stay competitive. The RX’s strong reputation for reliability, refinement, safety, and style should still help support demand over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Lexus RX safe?

The 2023 RX earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard, and it includes lane departure warning, automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, motorcycle detection, evasive steering assistance, intersection turn assistance with front cross-traffic alert, and a curve speed-reduction function with adaptive cruise control. Proactive Driving Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, and Advanced Park Assist are also newly available technologies for 2023.

There are a few caveats to keep in mind. The head-up display can make some adaptive cruise and front cross-traffic information harder to read, and the curve-speed reduction function is not predictive in the way some drivers may expect.

Should I buy a 2023 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brings a more modern cabin, stronger technology, and a better overall balance than before.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $43,820 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $49,917 CAD average.
• It is a carryover model with minimal changes and a comfort-first, dependable character.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $53,978 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $49,917 CAD average.
• It leans further into comfort, luxury, and fuel efficiency.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of modern tech, safety, and value, the 2023 is the strongest all-around choice. If your priority is lower purchase price, the 2022 is the more budget-friendly path, while the 2024 makes sense if you want to spend more for a newer model year.
