Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Lexus RX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 89 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.16% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $28,974 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $28,974 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,551 CAD.

That price movement suggests the RX has softened a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may also mean a future seller has less room to benefit from appreciation. Even so, the model’s strong reputation for comfort and dependability helps support demand in the used market. Because the RX continues to attract shoppers who value a refined ownership experience, it should remain relatively resilient compared with less established luxury SUVs.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 RX is a strong choice if you want a comfortable, well-regarded luxury SUV with solid market support and a softer price trend than a year ago. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2017 remains the better fit when you want a balanced mix of value, owner satisfaction, and long-term appeal.
