Is the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its strong performance, comfort, and luxurious features, and many also appreciate the spacious interior, impressive technology, and off-road capability. That makes it a good fit if you want a used SUV that can handle daily driving while still offering genuine trail ability and a more premium feel than many mainstream SUVs. With 32.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful value to be found if you shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable in day-to-day use, with praise centred on its comfort, performance, and overall ownership experience. The same feedback also suggests it can be a trouble-free choice for buyers who value capability and refinement in one package. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that upkeep can be costly, so a careful inspection and service-history review matter.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 293 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.73% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,316 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $20,316 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,548 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can be helpful if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. If you own one for a few years, the current pricing trend implies you may need to be realistic about future depreciation. Even so, models that are well equipped and well maintained should still attract interest from shoppers who want a capable SUV with a premium feel.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of modern features, strong owner satisfaction, and current market value, the 2018 is the one to focus on. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may offer a lower entry point, but the 2018 stands out for shoppers who want a well-rounded used Grand Cherokee with broad appeal.
