How much does the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee cost?

Is the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Yes — 4.73/5 is a strong user rating for this model year. Drivers consistently praise its strong performance, comfort, and luxurious features, and many also highlight the spacious interior, impressive technology, and off-road capability. That makes it a good fit if you want an SUV that can handle rough conditions without giving up everyday comfort, especially since this model year adds a standard 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. With 32.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful value to be found if you shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.73/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle that many owners find dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, with strong satisfaction around comfort, performance, and capability. That said, the broader ownership picture still includes some caution around fuel economy and the possibility of higher running costs over time.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a well-equipped SUV like this can become more expensive to own if maintenance needs stack up.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 313 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.54% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,571 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $20,587 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,376 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the vehicle more attractive to buyers today but less favourable for sellers trying to maximise return. If you buy at the current average, you may have less immediate upside than someone who purchased when prices were higher. Still, the model’s broad appeal can help support demand when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.73/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.73/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is the better pick if you want the added convenience of standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 7-inch touchscreen, along with a strong mix of comfort and capability. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2018 stands out as the more polished and easier-to-live-with choice for most shoppers.
