Used 2024 Chevrolet Trax for Sale nearWoodbridge, ON

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Trax cost?

Prices have softened 7.32% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 488 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Trax earns a 4.6/5 user rating and an 8.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its sporty design, fuel efficiency, comfort, modern technology, and value for money. The main trade-offs are that some buyers want more power and more interior space, and the lack of all-wheel drive is a recurring drawback.

For you, that makes the Trax a strong fit if you want an affordable small crossover that feels more modern than the old version and bridges the gap between a car and an SUV. The market also shows 32.6% of listings are good or great deals, which supports the value case.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise for its fuel efficiency, comfort, and value over time. The expert drive notes also describe the Trax as well sorted and refined for its class, which supports confidence in day-to-day use.

Chevrolet’s standard warranty coverage adds some reassurance for used buyers, but you should still pay close attention to maintenance history and how the vehicle has been used, since long-term ownership risk will depend on condition and upkeep.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Trax?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: LS models use 17-inch steel wheels and a cloth, mostly plastic interior, while higher trims add 18-inch or 19-inch aluminium wheels and Evotex upholstery. The Activ trim leans more rugged in appearance, while RS models add darker, sportier styling details.
• Powertrain: You get one engine choice: a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder with 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. It is front-wheel drive only, and the engine is tuned for responsive everyday driving rather than outright performance.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, and a following distance indicator. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist are optional.
• Infotainment: LS and 1RS trims get an 8-inch touchscreen, while LT, 2RS, and Activ models upgrade to an 11-inch touchscreen and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and wireless phone charging are available, and Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity continues.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates it at 7.9 L/100 km combined, 8.3 L/100 km city, and 7.4 L/100 km highway.

Which 2024 Chevrolet Trax trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Trax is offered in 5 trim levels: LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS, and Activ.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, and it gives you the redesigned Trax’s core value proposition at the lowest price. It makes sense if you want the basics and can live without the larger screen and extra visual polish.
• 1RS: This trim adds a sportier look without moving too far up the price ladder, so it suits you if style matters but you still want to stay budget-conscious.
• LT: This is the best-value choice for most buyers because it brings the larger 11-inch touchscreen, the 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and extra rear-seat charging and connectivity features.
• 2RS: Choose this if you want the sportiest appearance and the more upscale tech presentation, and you are willing to pay more for it.
• Activ: This is the pick if you prefer the more rugged styling theme and want a slightly different personality from the RS models.

Advanced safety features are not standard, so if those matter to you, look closely at the available driver-assistance options on the trim you are considering.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Trax?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 488 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.32% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,854 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $23,901 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,788 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Trax has become easier to buy used, which can help future sellers if demand stays steady. At the same time, a lower current average means you should not expect the same resale strength you might have seen when prices were higher.

For you as a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, because the market is already pricing in some depreciation. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax safe?

The Trax was not rated by IIHS or NHTSA at the time of publication.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety assist features include automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, and a following distance indicator. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist are optional.

The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you will want to confirm exactly which driver-assistance items are fitted on the used example you are considering.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.32% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 model year brings a thoroughly redesigned Trax with more style, more technology, and a bigger, more substantial feel than the original version.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned Trax with modern tech and strong value, the 2024 is the right place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep shopping the market closely and focus on the best-priced examples, since the current used inventory gives you room to compare.
