Used 2024 Chevrolet Trax for Sale nearToronto, ON

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Trax cost?

Prices have softened 8.10% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 428 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Trax earns a 4.62/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its sporty design, fuel efficiency, comfort, modern technology, and value for money. The Trax also stands out as a more modern and appealing small crossover than the basic transportation role it once filled, which fits well if you want an affordable, practical entry-level SUV with a stronger style focus.

The main trade-offs are that it lacks power for some buyers and does not offer all-wheel drive. The cabin’s ergonomic design is also a weak point.

With 33.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful value in the market if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe the Trax as dependable in everyday use, with praise for its fuel efficiency, comfort, and value for money. The model’s modern technology and practical mission also support the sense that it is a car you can count on for routine commuting and city driving.

Its powertrain is presented as well-sorted, and the standard active noise cancellation helps the cabin feel more refined than you might expect in this class. The three-cylinder engine’s response is described as strong from a stop, with minimal turbo lag.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the Trax’s modest power and limited space will still suit your needs over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Trax?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: LS models are the most basic, with cloth upholstery, 17-inch steel wheels, and an 8-inch touchscreen. Higher trims add Evotex upholstery, larger wheels, and more expressive styling, while Activ models lean more rugged and RS models lean sportier. The base trim also misses some of the more upscale visual and tech touches found higher up the range.
• Powertrain: You get one engine choice: a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder with 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive only. It is tuned for efficient, everyday use rather than strong performance.
• Safety package: Standard driver aids include automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, and a following distance indicator. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist are optional, so check carefully for the equipment you want.
• Infotainment: LS and 1RS trims get an 8-inch touchscreen, while LT, 2RS, and Activ models upgrade to an 11-inch touchscreen and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, and Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity continues.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada-rated fuel economy is 7.9 litres per 100 kilometres combined, 8.3 city, and 7.4 highway.

Which 2024 Chevrolet Trax trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Trax is offered in 5 trim levels: LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS, and Activ.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the value-focused starting point, and it gives you the Trax’s core design, standard safety tech, and basic infotainment without the extra cost of the larger screens or upgraded cabin materials. It makes sense if you want the lowest entry price and can live without the nicer features found higher up.
• 1RS: This trim adds a sportier look while staying relatively accessible, making it a good choice if you want more style than the LS without jumping to the pricier upper trims.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it brings the 11-inch touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, and additional convenience features while staying below the top-end models.
• 2RS: Choose this if you want the sportiest appearance and a more upscale tech presentation, along with the larger screen setup and the more expressive RS treatment.
• Activ: This is the right pick if you prefer the more rugged-looking version of the Trax, with its own styling cues and the same upgraded tech content as the upper trims.

Safety features are standard across the lineup, but several driver-assistance items remain optional, so verify the equipment list on any used example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Trax?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 428 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.10% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $24,090 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $24,090 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,213 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Trax is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago, which can help you if you are shopping now but may limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If prices remain under pressure, future sellers may need to be more flexible on asking price to stay competitive.

The good news is that the Trax’s value proposition is still supported by its strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal as an affordable, practical small crossover. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax safe?

The Trax will be available with a decent array of driver-assist features, though crash-test ratings from IIHS and NHTSA were not available at the time of publication.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety assist features include automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, and a following distance indicator. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist are optional.

The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you should confirm exactly which driver-assistance items are fitted on any used example you are considering.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 model is a complete reimagining of the Trax, with more style, more technology, and a bigger footprint than before.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned Trax with its stronger styling and upgraded tech, the 2024 is the one to target. If you are mainly focused on price, you may still want to compare listings closely and be selective, since the market is offering some room to negotiate.
