Used 2024 Chevrolet Trax for Sale near Newfoundland and Labrador

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Trax cost?

Prices have softened 8.49% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 455 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Trax earns a 4.62/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

Owners repeatedly praise its sporty design, fuel efficiency, comfort, and value for money. They also like the modern technology and the way it feels like a more contemporary small crossover than the old Trax.

The main trade-offs are that it lacks power for some drivers, all-wheel drive is not available, and the cabin’s ergonomics are a weak point. That makes it a better fit if you want an affordable, stylish commuter or city-friendly crossover rather than a more rugged or spacious family SUV.

With 33.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still a decent amount of market value to be found.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise for its value, comfort, and fuel efficiency. That kind of response usually matters most if you plan to keep the vehicle for several years and want something you can count on day to day.

The expert evaluation also supports that impression by describing the Trax as a well-sorted small vehicle with a refined, predictable powertrain and suspension. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the Trax’s modest power and limited space will still suit your needs over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Trax?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: LS models are the most basic, with cloth upholstery, 17-inch steel wheels, and an 8-inch touchscreen, while higher trims add Evotex upholstery, larger wheels, and more upscale styling touches. The base trim also misses some of the more premium tech and convenience features found higher up the range.
• Powertrain: You get one engine choice: a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder with 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive only. It is tuned for easy everyday driving rather than strong performance.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, and a following distance indicator. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist are optional.
• Infotainment: LS and 1RS trims get an 8-inch touchscreen, while LT, 2RS, and Activ models upgrade to an 11-inch touchscreen and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, and wireless phone charging is also offered on higher trims.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates it at 7.9 litres per 100 kilometres combined, with 8.3 city and 7.4 highway.

Which 2024 Chevrolet Trax trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Trax is offered in 5 trim levels: LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS, and Activ.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and can live with the most basic equipment. It still gives you the redesigned Trax’s core strengths, but you give up the larger screen and some of the nicer cabin and tech upgrades.
• 1RS: This trim adds a sportier look without moving too far up the price ladder, making it a good choice if style matters to you and you want a bit more personality than the LS.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it brings the 11-inch touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, and more rear-seat convenience features while staying below the top trims.
• 2RS: Choose this if you want the sportiest appearance and the more premium tech feel, and you do not mind paying more for the extra visual flair.
• Activ: This is the pick if you prefer the more rugged-looking design theme and want a slightly different personality from the RS trims.

Safety equipment is strongest when you move beyond the base trim, since several driver-assistance features remain optional rather than standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Trax?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 455 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.49% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,829 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $23,830 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,041 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Trax is currently more buyer-friendly than seller-friendly, which can make it easier to purchase now but may temper near-term resale expectations. If you buy at the right price, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s average.

The good news for future resale is that the Trax has broad appeal: it is stylish, efficient, and well equipped for the money. Those traits help keep demand steady, especially among shoppers looking for an affordable crossover with modern tech.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax safe?

The 2024 Chevrolet Trax comes standard with automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, and a following distance indicator.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy also includes the Teen Driver system, which can automatically activate certain safety features if equipped, mute the radio until front-seat occupants buckle up, prevent shifting out of Park with an unbuckled seat belt, and generate a driving report card for parents.

A key caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard across the lineup, so you may need to move up a trim or add options to get features such as adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It represents the redesigned Trax with a much more modern look, better technology, and a more substantial feel than the original model.

The bottom line: The 2024 Trax is the right pick if you want the redesigned version with stronger style, better tech, and solid value. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to focus on the best-priced listings rather than stretching for a higher trim, since the model already delivers its biggest strengths in the lower and middle of the range.
