Yes — the 2025 Chevrolet Trax earns a 5/5 user rating, and its appeal centres on value, space, and everyday usability. Chevrolet has made this Trax larger than the original model, with more rear passenger room and significantly more cargo capacity, while keeping it compact and budget-friendly. It also brings a modern look, a redesigned interior, and a strong equipment list for the money, which makes it especially relevant if you want a practical subcompact SUV without stretching your budget. Is the 2025 Chevrolet Trax reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Trax is built around a simple, value-focused formula, with a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. Chevrolet also equips it with useful standard features, which can help reduce the need for immediate add-ons after purchase. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that you should be selective about condition and maintenance history, especially if you want to avoid surprises down the road.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Trax?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 581 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.52% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,868 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $25,868 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,910 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. On the other hand, the Trax’s value-focused positioning and broad appeal should help it remain easy to explain to the next buyer. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain it well, you should be able to support a stronger resale outcome when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.52% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $23,927 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $25,868 CAD average.
• It offers a thoroughly redesigned, more modern entry-level crossover feel.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the same practical formula with only minor updates.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the best all-around pick if you want the strongest mix of value, space, and current-market pricing. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the better price-sensitive alternative, while the 2026 makes sense if you want the latest model-year version without expecting major changes.
