How much does the 2019 Subaru Outback cost?

Prices have softened 10.31% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 242 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Subaru Outback a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Subaru Outback earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth ride, roomy interior, and ample safety features. The model also fits well if you want a practical, spacious vehicle with strong all-weather capability and a comfortable, refined feel.

With 35.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful share of the market to shop from.

Is the 2019 Subaru Outback reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also highlights dependable everyday use, with drivers calling out its trouble-free feel in challenging climates and its ability to inspire confidence over time. That said, some owners mention oil maintenance between changes, so used buyers should pay attention to service history and overall upkeep.

For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about the concept and more about how well the previous owner maintained the vehicle.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Subaru Outback?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 242 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.31% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,136 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Subaru Outback's resale value?

The current average of $20,309 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,644 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Outback more attractive to used buyers today. For a future seller, that means resale upside may be more limited in the short term unless demand strengthens or the vehicle is especially well kept.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Subaru Outback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $23,341 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $20,309 CAD average.
• It adds a newer cabin interface and updated powertrain choices.

The bottom line: Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and strong owner satisfaction. If you can stretch for a newer model and want the updated interior and powertrain changes, the 2020 is the better secondary path.
