How much does the 2019 Subaru Outback cost?

There are 234 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of choice in the used market.

Is the 2019 Subaru Outback a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Subaru Outback earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth ride, roomy interior, and ample safety features. The model also fits well if you want a practical, all-weather vehicle with broad everyday usefulness, especially when you value space and confidence in poor weather.

With 33.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2019 Subaru Outback reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights a dependable, trouble-free feel for many drivers, along with confidence in the vehicle’s long-term usefulness. That said, some owners mention the need for oil maintenance between changes, so you should pay close attention to service history on any used example.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright failure and more about how well the previous owner maintained it.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Subaru Outback?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 234 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,073 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Subaru Outback's resale value?

The current average of $20,075 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,606 CAD.

That softer pricing can be helpful if you are buying now, but it also suggests future resale upside may be more measured than in a rising market. If you plan to sell later, the current discount may limit how much appreciation you can expect from a short ownership period.

Even so, the Outback’s strong owner satisfaction should help support demand when it is time to resell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Subaru Outback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $22,861 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $20,075 CAD average.
• It adds a new tablet-style infotainment system and updated sixth-generation design.

The bottom line: Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and a strong satisfaction record. If you are willing to spend more for newer tech and a fresher redesign, the 2020 is the better upgrade path.
