Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Subaru Outback?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 101 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.56% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,238 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Subaru Outback's resale value?

The current average of $10,792 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,091 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at today’s average, you may have less room for appreciation in the near term, so condition and mileage will matter a lot when it comes time to resell. Strong demand for practical, all-weather vehicles can still support values, especially when the vehicle has been well maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Subaru Outback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2015 is a smart choice if you want the Outback’s practical space, standard all-wheel drive, and strong owner approval at a more approachable price. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2015 stands out as a balanced option when you want capability and value in the same package.
