The 2018 Subaru Outback is a standout option in its category, known for its exceptional all-wheel drive (AWD) system and spacious interior designed for comfort during both daily commutes and long road trips. This model appeals particularly to outdoorsy buyers seeking a capable vehicle for light off-road adventures, thanks to its generous ground clearance and the robust suspension system. Drivers appreciate its smooth ride and feel a strong loyalty to the Outback due to its reliability and strong safety features. However, there are some drawbacks. Some owners have reported issues with the navigation and infotainment systems, and interior lighting may feel limited for nighttime driving. (27 reviews)Call me biased, but I don’t see why everyone doesn’t go for this car. Meets all my needs and it’s reliable, relatively affordable, and sleek looking, what more could I want
I came from a 2009 Nissan Murano SL AWD. This outback has so many fancy features! I love the blind spot monitors, the automatic braking, adaptive cruise, lane detection, etc. Only things Im missing from my Murano are my toe hitch, my 6 CD changer, and buttons in the truck to lift the back seats for me.
Love the 2018 Outback! Favorite car I’ve owned yet.
I bought the Premium model as a replacement for my 2012 Outback. My 2018 has navigation and moon roof. Car is awesome. Drives and shifts more smoothly than the older one. Not that much acceleration getting on the freeway but adequate. I like all the safety features (blind spot detection, back up camera, lane detection, etc.). Ill be keeping this car until self-driving cars are the standard.
Just bought a 2018 Outback Touring. It is quiet, smooth ride, the V6 has the power that V4 versions lack, which means I would never buy the smaller engine. Love the larger screen on the navigation system. The safety features actually saved us money on our auto insurance and we are paying less for the 2018 Outback than the 2012 Accord V6 we own. The visibility is another great aspect of the Outback. Getting into and out of the Outback is much easier with its higher clearance. While I have only had it a short time, I have really enjoyed driving it and look forward to learning about all the new features available.
