Is the 2015 Subaru Outback a good car?

Yes — the 4.9/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its solid ride, luxurious feel, impressive safety features, ample cargo space, and fuel efficiency, especially with the all-wheel drive system. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a roomy, comfortable, all-weather vehicle with practical utility. Is the 2015 Subaru Outback reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with praise centred on the vehicle’s solid feel and all-weather confidence. That kind of long-term approval matters when you are shopping used, because it suggests the Outback has earned trust beyond the first few years of ownership. For you, the main long-term ownership risk is that maintenance costs can be higher than some rivals, so a well-documented service history is worth prioritising.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Subaru Outback?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep discounts on every listing.

• Deal availability: 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 94 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.04% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,233 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Subaru Outback's resale value?

The current average of $10,483 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,447 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Outback more attractive to you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means there may be less room for appreciation unless the vehicle is especially well kept or unusually well equipped. Even so, the model's broad appeal and practical reputation help support demand in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Subaru Outback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2015 Outback is a strong choice if you want the familiar Subaru formula with standard all-wheel drive, useful space, and a well-liked ownership experience. If your priority is value, this year looks especially appealing because prices have eased and there is still a decent share of good deals. If you are more price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years to see whether a similar Outback can save you a bit more without giving up the features you care about.
