Is the 2025 Chevrolet Trax a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Chevrolet Trax earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a subcompact SUV that leans into value, space, and everyday usability, with more rear passenger room and significantly more cargo capacity than the original model. It also keeps a compact footprint that makes it easy to live with in the city, while the redesigned cabin and modern styling help it feel more substantial than its price suggests. With 29.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Trax reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Trax’s appeal comes from its practical packaging, strong equipment list, and respectable fuel consumption at 8.1 L/100 km combined. It is also offered with a straightforward 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine and a six-speed automatic transmission, which keeps the formula simple. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that safety results are mixed, so you should pay close attention to the vehicle’s condition and history before buying.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Trax?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 616 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.72% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,694 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $25,694 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,461 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, the Trax’s value story will depend on how well it holds demand in the used market and how clean your example is. Strong equipment and broad appeal should help, but the current trend suggests you should not expect a quick appreciation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $23,819 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $25,694 CAD average.
• It brings a major redesign with modern styling and strong technology.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the Trax’s value-focused formula while adding two new exterior colour options.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the best all-around pick if you want the strongest mix of value, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less, the 2024 is the better budget-focused alternative, especially if you find a clean example with the features you want.
