Used 2023 Dodge Charger for Sale near Ontario

How much does the 2023 Dodge Charger cost?

Prices are up 8.94% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 135 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Dodge Charger earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, comfortable seating, and spacious interior. The Charger’s bold styling also comes through as a major draw, and many buyers clearly respond to its distinctive muscle-car personality.

The trade-offs are just as clear: the technology feels dated, and the base engine is described as underwhelming. The Charger is best suited to you if you want a spacious, comfortable full-size sedan with a strong performance image rather than a modern tech showcase.

Only 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is somewhat selective.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels powerful, comfortable, and spacious enough to live with every day. That combination suggests you can count on it to deliver the character buyers expect from a Charger over the long term.

The expert test-drive notes also reinforce its durable, old-school appeal, with a powertrain and driving character built around proven hardware rather than novelty. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the core mechanical personality and more about age-related compromises in technology and refinement.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Dodge Charger?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Charger is described as a bit drab on small skinny tires, while V8 models look the business. The Swinger adds widebody styling, flared fenders, bronze wheels, black brake calipers, and distinctive special-edition details, but the cabin still feels dated and not especially upscale.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 is shared across several Stellantis brands and is described as an old minivan engine with modest output. It is the only engine paired with all-wheel drive, while the rest of the lineup uses Hemi V8 power.
• Safety package: The Charger includes rear parking sensors and a backup camera as standard equipment. Forward collision warning with emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control are optional on all grades, while blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional on Hellcat models and some lower grades via the Daytona Edition package.
• Infotainment: You get an 8.4-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, voice recognition, and SiriusXM. It does not have the latest Uconnect system, over-the-air updates, or the more advanced driver-assistance tech found in newer vehicles.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 can quietly deliver fuel economy as low as 7.8 L/100 km on the highway, while the 5.7-litre V8 can shut down half its cylinders for a 9.4 L/100 km highway cruise. The Hellcat is far thirstier, with about 19 L/100 km in city driving.

Which 2023 Dodge Charger trim should I buy?

The 2023 Dodge Charger is offered in 6 trim levels: SXT AWD, GT AWD, R/T, Scat Pack, SRT Hellcat, and SRT Hellcat Widebody.

Here's the short version:

• SXT AWD: This is the entry point if you want the Charger’s size and style with all-wheel drive. It makes the most sense if you value the basic formula and want the least expensive path into the lineup, but the base V6 is described as underwhelming.
• GT AWD: Choose this if you want the same V6-and-AWD setup with a bit more personality than the base model. It still sits on the practical side of the range, but it remains a compromise if you’re shopping for real performance.
• R/T: This is the first trim that brings the 5.7-litre Hemi V8, making it the better choice if you want the Charger’s character to feel properly muscular. It’s the natural step up for buyers who care more about sound and thrust than efficiency.
• Scat Pack: This is the best-value trim for most enthusiasts because it pairs the 6.4-litre V8 with the Charger’s strongest all-around performance character. It adds the kind of power and braking hardware that make the car feel properly special without jumping all the way to Hellcat territory.
• SRT Hellcat: Pick this if outright speed is your priority and you want the supercharged 6.2-litre experience. It is the extreme choice, but it also comes with the biggest compromises in fuel use and everyday restraint.
• SRT Hellcat Widebody: This is the most aggressive version, with the widebody stance and the most dramatic presence. It suits you if you want the full visual and performance statement, not just the badge.

No major safety features come standard beyond rear parking sensors and a backup camera, so if safety tech matters to you, look closely at optional equipment.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Dodge Charger?

The market looks moderately favourable if you’re a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 135 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 8.94% year-over-year.

If you find a listing below $37,246 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Dodge Charger's resale value?

The current average of $43,598 CAD sits slightly above last year's $40,021 CAD.

That upward move suggests the Charger is still benefiting from strong demand, especially as it nears the end of its run. For a future seller, that can be a positive sign: a model with a clear identity and enthusiast appeal often holds attention better than more ordinary sedans.

The year-round price range also shows there is room for values to move depending on trim, condition, and mileage. If you own a well-kept example, especially one with desirable performance hardware, you may be better positioned than the average mainstream used-sedan seller.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger safe?

The 2023 Dodge Charger earns four out of five stars for driver and passenger in a frontal crash, four stars for the driver in side barrier and pole intrusion tests, and five stars for the rear passengers in those side tests.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

The Charger comes with rear parking sensors and a backup camera as standard equipment. Forward collision warning with emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control are optional on all grades, while blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional on Hellcat models and some lower grades via the Daytona Edition package.

The main caveat is that the car’s age shows in its safety tech, and the backup camera is described as fuzzy. If safety equipment is a priority, you’ll want to verify exactly which options are fitted on the used example you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2023 Dodge Charger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 8.94% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It is the final-year Charger, which gives it added significance as the model’s send-off.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $37,523 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $43,598 CAD average.
• It offers traditional muscle-car appeal with strong performance and a spacious interior.

The bottom line: If you want the most meaningful version of the Charger story, the 2023 is the one to target. If your priority is saving money and you still want the same basic character, the 2022 is the sensible alternative.
