Used 2023 Dodge Charger for Sale near Alberta

How much does the 2023 Dodge Charger cost?

Prices are up 9.21% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 124 listings available, which suggests you still have some room to compare examples.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger a good car?

Yes — 4.5/5 owners’ rating points to strong owner approval, and the expert rating is 7.83/10. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Owners repeatedly praise the Charger’s powerful performance, comfortable seating, and spacious interior. The car’s distinctive styling also comes through as a major draw, especially if you want a sedan with presence rather than a modern, tech-heavy feel.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology is dated, fuel economy is poor, and the base engine is underwhelming. That said, the Charger’s full-size layout and muscle-car character fit buyers who value attitude, space, and straight-line punch over the latest features.

Only 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards shoppers who move quickly on the right example.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise for the car’s powerful performance and comfortable, spacious cabin. That combination suggests the Charger can be a car you count on for daily use if you accept its older design.

From the expert side, the Charger’s powertrain is described as smooth and well matched to the car, with the ZF eight-speed automatic singled out for its smoothness and quick shifts. That supports the impression of a drivetrain that should feel robust over time.

If you’re buying used, the bigger long-term risk is not basic dependability so much as age-related wear, especially on examples that have been driven hard or modified.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Dodge Charger?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Charger is described as a bit drab on small skinny tires, while V8 models look the part much more convincingly. The Swinger adds widebody fenders, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, bronze wheels, black brake calipers, and distinctive 70s-style graphics, but the cabin still feels dated and not especially upscale.
• Powertrain: The 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 is the entry engine and is the only one available with AWD, but it is described as an old minivan engine and the AWD system reacts too slowly to be very useful in winter or wet conditions. V8 models bring much stronger character, with the 5.7-litre R/T, the 6.4-litre Scat Pack, and the supercharged 6.2-litre Hellcat variants offering progressively more power.
• Safety package: The Charger includes rear parking sensors and a backup camera as standard equipment. Forward collision warning with emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control are optional on all grades, while blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional on Hellcat models and some lower grades via the Daytona Edition package.
• Infotainment: You get an 8.4-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, voice recognition, and SiriusXM. It does not have the latest Uconnect system, big screens, over-the-air updates, or phone-based starting.
• Fuel efficiency: The ZF eight-speed automatic can deliver fuel economy as low as 7.8 L/100 km on the highway, while the 5.7-litre V8 can manage 9.4 L/100 km on the highway. The Hellcat is far thirstier, with about 19 L/100 km in city driving.

Which 2023 Dodge Charger trim should I buy?

The 2023 Dodge Charger is offered in 6 trim levels: SXT AWD, GT AWD, R/T, Scat Pack, SRT Hellcat, and SRT Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak.

Here's the short version:

• SXT AWD: This is the entry point if you want the Charger’s size and style at the lowest starting price, but the V6 is described as the least exciting part of the lineup. It makes sense only if you value the shape and cabin space more than performance.
• GT AWD: Choose this if you want the V6 with AWD and a bit more personality than the base setup. It still carries the same core compromise: the AWD system is not especially convincing in poor weather.
• R/T: This is the first trim that really delivers the Charger experience, thanks to the 5.7-litre V8 and much stronger performance. It is the better-value choice if you want the muscle-car feel without jumping to the pricier high-output trims.
• Scat Pack: This is the sweet spot for enthusiasts, with the 6.4-litre V8, stronger braking hardware on Widebody versions, and the most satisfying balance of power and everyday usability. If you want the best mix of drama and capability, this is the one to target.
• SRT Hellcat: Buy this only if you want outrageous straight-line speed and are comfortable with the trade-offs in fuel use and practicality. It is the extreme choice, not the sensible one.
• SRT Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak: This is the most powerful and most expensive path, aimed at buyers who want the most exclusive version and are willing to pay for it.

The Charger’s safety package is limited at the base level, and many useful driver-assistance features remain optional across the range.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Dodge Charger?

The market still favours selective buyers, so you should act quickly when a well-priced example appears.

• Deal availability: 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 124 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 9.21% year-over-year.

If you find a listing below $37,236 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Dodge Charger’s resale value?

The current average of $45,901 CAD sits slightly above last year's $42,029 CAD.

That upward move suggests the Charger’s market remains resilient, even as the model reaches the end of its run. For a future seller, that can help support pricing if your car is clean, well maintained, and equipped with a desirable trim.

The strongest resale prospects are likely to come from the more desirable V8 versions, especially the enthusiast-focused trims. Limited-production and high-performance examples should continue to attract attention from buyers who want a gas-powered Charger before it disappears.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger safe?

The Charger receives four out of five stars for driver and passenger in a frontal crash, four stars for the driver in side barrier and pole intrusion tests, and five stars for the rear passengers in those side tests.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

The Charger includes rear parking sensors and a backup camera as standard equipment, but the camera is described as fuzzy. Forward collision warning with emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control are optional on all grades. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional on Hellcat models and some lower grades via the Daytona Edition package.

The main caveat is that the car’s age shows in its safety tech, and several useful features are not standard.

Should I buy a 2023 Dodge Charger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 9.21% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It is the final gas-powered Charger, with a send-off feel and limited-edition appeal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $35,954 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $45,901 CAD average.
• It offers a modern muscle-car feel with strong acceleration and easy-to-use technology.

The bottom line: If you want the last and most significant gas-powered Charger, the 2023 is the one to target. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the smarter value play and still delivers the core Charger formula.
