Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda CR-V?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 852 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.13% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $28,574 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $28,574 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,154 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the CR-V easier to buy now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, the current softer pricing means your best protection is buying well and keeping the vehicle in strong condition. Demand should remain supported by the model’s practical appeal and broad shopper interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.77/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.77/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,174 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,574 CAD average.
• It offers broad appeal and proven popularity.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $32,536 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $28,574 CAD average.
• It adds a redesigned cabin with updated infotainment and safety features.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around path if you want a strong mix of value, owner satisfaction, and current-market availability. If your priority is spending less, the 2021 is the better price-sensitive choice; if you want newer features and are willing to pay more, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
