There are 831 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for shoppers comparing options.

Is the 2022 Honda CR-V a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda CR-V earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, great safety features, and impressive fuel economy. That lines up well with its practical, safety-focused, everyday-use appeal, especially if you want a roomy family crossover that is easy to live with. With 26.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful value to be found.

Is the 2022 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centred on the CR-V’s practicality, safety, and fuel economy. For used buyers, that kind of long-term confidence matters because it suggests the vehicle is more likely to deliver steady day-to-day service than surprise drama.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda CR-V?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 26.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 831 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.50% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $28,287 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $28,296 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,615 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the CR-V easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller if prices stay soft. Even so, the model’s practical appeal and strong owner satisfaction should help it remain attractive to used shoppers. If demand stays steady, that should support resale performance better than a less popular compact SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 26.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $25,852 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,296 CAD average.
• It offers broad appeal and proven popularity.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $32,295 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $28,296 CAD average.
• It adds a redesigned cabin with updated infotainment and safety features.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want a well-liked, value-conscious CR-V with strong owner approval. If your priority is spending less, the 2021 is the smarter budget path; if you want newer features and can stretch your budget, the 2023 is the upgrade to consider.
