Used 2020 Lexus RX for Sale nearRichmond, BC

How much does the 2020 Lexus RX cost?

Prices have softened 7.46% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 88 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2020 Lexus RX a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Lexus RX earns a 4.9/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Cost effectiveness.

You get a strong mix of luxury feel, comfort, and reliability, along with a spacious and quiet interior and a smooth ride. Those are the qualities that make it appealing if you want a premium midsize SUV that feels calm and refined in daily use.

The main trade-offs are its unintuitive technology and some cabin noise at moderate speeds, plus a few owners wanted more features. In practical terms, that means the RX suits you best if comfort and refinement matter more than having the most intuitive interface.

The market also looks reasonably healthy, with 35.2% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2020 Lexus RX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers consistently describe the RX as reliable and dependable, with a trouble-free feel that makes it easy to count on over time. The expert assessment also points to smooth operation and a calm, composed driving experience, which supports the impression of solid day-to-day dependability.

If you want a used luxury SUV you can live with for the long haul, the RX’s reputation is reassuring, though you should still check service history and confirm that the technology works the way you expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Lexus RX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin is well-appointed across the range, with heated and ventilated front seats, heated outboard second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated exterior mirrors standard on all models. If you want more visual flair, the F Sport appearance packages add unique interior and exterior touches, but the centre stack still feels dated.
• Powertrain: The standard setup uses a 3.5-litre V6 with an eight-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive in Canada. Hybrid versions add electric assistance for stronger efficiency, while the RX 350 L and RX 450h L use the same basic layouts in three-row form.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 is standard, with adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a backup camera, daytime bicyclist detection, low-light pedestrian detection, road-sign assist, and lane-tracing assist. Every RX gets the full suite.
• Infotainment: You get an 8.0-inch display standard, with an available 12.3-inch touchscreen. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth are standard, and the system also supports Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Spotify, Pandora, Google Maps, Waze, Apple Music, Apple Maps, SiriusXM satellite radio, and WhatsApp compatibility.
• Fuel efficiency: The RX 350 is rated at 10.8 L/100 km combined, while the RX 350 L uses 11.1 L/100 km combined. The hybrid RX 450h improves that to 7.9 L/100 km combined, and the RX 450h L is rated at 8.1 L/100 km combined.

Which 2020 Lexus RX trim should I buy?

The 2020 Lexus RX is offered in 4 trim levels: RX 350, RX 350 L, RX 450h, RX 450h L.

Here's the short version:

• RX 350: This is the best fit if you want the core RX experience with the standard V6, smooth eight-speed automatic, standard all-wheel drive, and the strongest balance of comfort and everyday usability.
• RX 350 L: Choose this if you need the three-row layout and want the same basic drivetrain, but be aware that it gives up a bit of output compared with the two-row model.
• RX 450h: This is the best-value pick if fuel efficiency matters to you, since the hybrid setup delivers the strongest economy in the range while keeping the RX’s comfort-first character.
• RX 450h L: Pick this only if you want the three-row hybrid combination and are willing to pay for the added space and efficiency together.

Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 is standard across the range, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core safety package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Lexus RX?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 88 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.46% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $38,103 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $38,103 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,172 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you are buying now, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if values continue to ease. The RX still has a strong reputation for comfort and reliability, which helps support demand. Even so, the current trend suggests you should not expect rapid appreciation if you plan to resell later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Lexus RX safe?

The 2020 Lexus RX earns good safety ratings from both the IIHS and NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 is standard, and it includes adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a backup camera, daytime bicyclist detection, low-light pedestrian detection, road-sign assist, and lane-tracing assist. That gives you a broad set of driver aids without needing to step up to a higher trim.

One caveat is that the connected safety services did not always stay connected reliably during testing, so you should not treat that feature as a substitute for the core safety hardware.

Should I buy a 2020 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.46% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 brings a refreshed look, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and added safety tech such as lane-tracing assist and road-sign assist.

The bottom line: The 2020 RX is a smart choice if you want the refreshed styling, strong comfort, and a well-equipped luxury SUV at a softer used price. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-equipped example you can find, since the RX’s core appeal is consistency more than dramatic year-to-year change.

How does the 2020 Lexus RX compare to the 2021 Toyota Venza?

Our experts score the 2020 Lexus RX 8.2/10 and the 2021 Toyota Venza 8.3/10.

The RX gives you a more powerful V6, more listings to shop from, and a luxury-first feel with a quieter, more premium cabin. The Venza counters with a lower average used price, better deal share, and much stronger fuel economy thanks to its hybrid powertrain. If you want comfort and refinement, the RX is the more upscale choice; if efficiency and value matter more, the Venza is the easier buy.
