What is the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe's resale value?

The current average of $18,018 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,708 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range, you may have less downside left than someone who paid closer to the high point. The market also appears reasonably active, which can help support resale when it is time to move on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 28.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.99% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $20,143 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $18,018 CAD average.
• It adds a standard rear-seat reminder and available camera-based Blind-Spot View Monitor.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and a well-liked ownership experience. If you are willing to spend more for newer features and a slightly more modern setup, the 2020 is the cleaner upgrade; if price matters most, the 2019 is the smarter buy.
