Is the 2019 Acura MDX a good car?

Generally — the 2019 Acura MDX earns a 4.4/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its smooth ride, spacious interior, and reliable performance, and many also like the luxury features and V6 power. In practical terms, that makes it a good fit if you want a three-row luxury SUV with comfort and family usefulness at the centre of the package. With 24.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Acura MDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also highlights reliable performance, dependable day-to-day use, and a vehicle many people feel comfortable counting on over time. Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Acura MDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 24.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 110 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.22% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,030 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $28,019 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,560 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For future sellers, the current trend points to a model that still has demand, but not enough scarcity to push prices sharply higher in the short term. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 24.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $29,900 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $28,019 CAD average.
• It adds a more confident flagship feel with broader appeal.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and are comfortable with its known strengths and compromises. If you can stretch for the 2020, it may be worth it for buyers who want the newer model-year experience, but price-sensitive shoppers should focus on the 2019’s softer market and stronger deal availability.
