How much does the 2017 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 21.50% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 142 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2017 Acura MDX a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Acura MDX earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxury feel, space, and safety features, and many also like the smooth ride and spacious interior, especially with the available third row. That lines up well with its role as a three-row luxury SUV for buyers who want something upscale without moving into a larger or more expensive SUV. With 33.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2017 Acura MDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with praise centred on the MDX’s comfort, space, and overall quality. For used buyers, that kind of long-term confidence can reduce the risk of unexpected regret, especially if you prioritise a premium SUV that should be easy to live with over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Acura MDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 142 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.50% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,795 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $18,795 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,944 CAD.

That kind of decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the MDX more attractive to buyers now but less favourable for sellers trying to maximise return. If you buy at today’s average, your future resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is equipped and maintained. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 MDX is the better pick if you want the refreshed third-generation version with strong owner approval and a softer used-market price. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2017 stands out as the more compelling balance of value, features, and buyer confidence.
