Is the 2019 Acura MDX a good car?

Generally — the 4.44/5 user rating suggests you’re looking at a well-liked used luxury SUV. Owners consistently praise the smooth ride, spacious interior, and reliable performance, while also appreciating the V6 power and available luxury features. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a three-row family SUV with a comfortable cabin and a practical everyday layout. With 28.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Acura MDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.44/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to reliable performance and a vehicle that many drivers feel good about keeping over time. That said, some shoppers note concerns around road noise and the infotainment system, so your long-term ownership experience may depend on how much those trade-offs matter to you. For used buyers, the main risk is less about outright dependability and more about whether the cabin technology and refinement still suit your expectations.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 96 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.49% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,267 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $27,812 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,781 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper future resale gains if you plan to sell later. If you buy near the current average, your depreciation risk is likely more manageable than it would have been a year ago. The model’s broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction should still help support demand when it’s time to move on.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.44/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.44/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $30,040 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $27,812 CAD average.
• It offers a more polished all-around package with broad appeal.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and are comfortable with its known compromises. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer-year alternative, the 2020 is the better path; if price matters most, the 2019 is the smarter buy.
