Yes — the 2018 Acura MDX earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a reliable, dependable ownership experience, with many shoppers describing it as a vehicle they can count on over time. That matters if you want a used luxury SUV that feels more like a sensible long-term purchase than a short-term indulgence. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained properly, since that is what most affects how trouble-free it will feel going forward.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Acura MDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

What is the 2018 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $22,068 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,105 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about expectations. If you buy now, the lower entry price can help cushion some depreciation risk compared with a period of stronger pricing. The fact that demand is still supported by a solid owner satisfaction score is helpful, because well-liked models tend to stay easier to move when it is your turn to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a strong choice if you want a well-equipped three-row luxury SUV with a proven owner satisfaction record and a softer used-market price. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, equipment, and asking price.
