Because the MDX still has broad appeal as a comfortable, practical luxury SUV, demand should remain steady if you keep it well maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 24.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a strong choice if you want a well-liked, comfort-focused luxury SUV and you can find one priced near the lower end of the market. If you're especially price-sensitive, it also makes sense to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, equipment, and asking price.
