Is the 2015 Subaru Outback a good car?

Yes — the 4.86/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its solid ride, luxurious feel, impressive safety features, ample cargo space, and fuel efficiency, especially with the all-wheel drive system. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a practical, roomy vehicle with all-weather capability and a familiar, useful driving experience. Is the 2015 Subaru Outback reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the vehicle’s solid feel and confidence-inspiring all-wheel drive. That kind of long-term praise matters if you want a used vehicle you can count on for daily use and changing weather. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about the basic formula and more about making sure the specific example has been maintained properly over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Subaru Outback?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 24.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 91 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.33% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,672 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Subaru Outback's resale value?

The current average of $10,672 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,228 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the vehicle easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The current spread between the low and high end also shows there is still room for condition, trim, and equipment to influence future resale.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Subaru Outback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 24.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2015 is a strong choice if you want the Outback’s standard all-wheel drive, roomy cabin, and practical all-weather character at a softer price point than some nearby years. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare it with the 2014 for lower entry pricing or the 2016 for a slightly newer take on the same formula.
