Used 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe for SaleNationwide

How much does the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe cost?

Prices have softened 13.11% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 294 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The Santa Fe is described as a bold yet practical three-row crossover, and its longer wheelbase helps create more interior space for family use. It also brings impressive technology and multiple powertrain options, which broadens its appeal if you want something distinctive without giving up everyday usefulness.

The main trade-offs are that some rivals may offer more cargo space, and the top trims are expensive. Even so, the Santa Fe’s strong road presence and family-friendly packaging make it a compelling choice if you want a crossover that stands out from more conventional options.

35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Hyundai’s own positioning for the Santa Fe leans on practicality, strong equipment levels, and a great warranty, all of which support confidence in day-to-day ownership. The expert assessment also points to a vehicle that feels stable and well sorted on the road, with a powertrain and chassis setup that should suit regular family use.

The performance notes also point to a stable driving character, with firm brake feel and responsive steering. Hyundai Canada’s warranty coverage adds another layer of reassurance, and the brand includes free roadside assistance for five years with unlimited kilometres.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic dependability and more about whether you’re comfortable with the Santa Fe’s higher-trim complexity and ownership costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The XRT, Luxury, and Ultimate Calligraphy each bring different equipment levels, with the top trim adding captain’s chairs instead of a second-row bench and more upscale materials. The base setup already gives you a lot, but the higher trims add the features that make the Santa Fe feel more premium.
• Powertrain: The gas model uses a 2.5-litre turbocharged engine with 277 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic and standard AWD. It delivers strong everyday capability, but you should expect some turbo lag when accelerating.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, forward collision avoidance assist with pedestrian, cyclist, and junction turning detection, lane keeping and lane following assist, a driver attention monitor, and safe exit assist. Rear parking collision avoidance assist, side park distance warning, and Highway Drive Assist require more money, and the top trim adds blind spot avoidance while the top two trims get Blind View Monitor.
• Infotainment: Every gas-powered version gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, while navigation is limited to the Luxury and Ultimate Calligraphy trims. Over-the-air updates are included, and Bluelink app connectivity comes standard on every trim.
• Fuel efficiency: The gas model is rated at 10.6 L/100 km combined, while the XRT returns 10.8 L/100 km combined. The hybrid is more efficient at 6.9 L/100 km combined, but it is a separate model.

Which 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe is offered in 3 trim levels: XRT, Luxury, and Ultimate Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• XRT: This is the most rugged-looking version, with 18-inch wheels, black trim, black roof rails, and off-road-focused styling. It also gets the standard gas powertrain and the full suite of core tech and safety features, so it makes sense if you want the Santa Fe’s distinctive look without chasing luxury extras.
• Luxury: This trim adds navigation and moves you closer to the more premium side of the lineup. It’s the better-value choice if you want a more complete feature set without stretching all the way to the top trim.
• Ultimate Calligraphy: This is the most luxurious version, with 21-inch wheels, Nappa leather, captain’s chairs, a wireless charging pad that can accommodate two phones, a digital rearview mirror, and a head-up display. It suits you best if you want the most upscale Santa Fe experience and are willing to pay for it.

The safety package is generous across the lineup, but some advanced features are reserved for higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 294 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.11% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $43,869 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe's resale value?

The current average of $43,869 CAD sits slightly below last year's $50,489 CAD.

That price drop suggests the Santa Fe has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market than owners saw a year ago. If prices continue to normalise, resale values should remain tied closely to trim, condition, and equipment level.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe safe?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe earns four-star ratings from NHTSA and a “Good” rating from IIHS in all sections except the headlight and LATCH categories, where it scored “Acceptable”.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Hyundai equips the Santa Fe with a broad standard safety suite that includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, forward collision avoidance assist with pedestrian, cyclist, and junction turning detection, lane keeping and lane following assist, a driver attention monitor, and safe exit assist. Higher trims add rear parking collision avoidance assist, side park distance warning, Highway Drive Assist, blind spot avoidance, and Blind View Monitor.

The main caveat is that some of the more advanced driver-assistance features are not standard, so you’ll want to check trim carefully if those systems matter to you.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines bold styling with more interior space and impressive technology.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $40,806 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $43,869 CAD average.
• Bold redesign, standard third-row seats, and strong practicality define its appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current market value, distinctive styling, and family-friendly tech, the 2025 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2024 is the smarter value play.
