How much does the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe cost?

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe is aimed at you if you want a high-tech three-row crossover with bold styling and a more distinctive road presence than a conventional family SUV. Its longer wheelbase adds interior space, and the feature set is built around family-friendly practicality.

The main trade-offs are that some rivals may offer more cargo space, the design will not suit everyone, and top trims are expensive.

With 33.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive example.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Hyundai’s own positioning and the expert test-drive notes both point to a vehicle built around practicality, technology, and a strong warranty. The performance notes also describe stable cornering, a firm brake feel, and responsive steering, which supports the sense that the Santa Fe is engineered to feel composed in everyday use.

Hyundai also backs the Santa Fe with a five-year, 100,000-kilometre warranty and five years of unlimited-kilometre roadside assistance, which helps reduce early ownership risk. For used buyers, the bigger long-term concern is whether the higher-spec features and complex tech have been maintained properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The XRT adds off-road-focused styling, black roof rails, and 18-inch wheels, while the Ultimate Calligraphy brings 21-inch wheels, captain’s chairs instead of the second-row bench, a digital rearview mirror, and a head-up display. The base trim misses some of the richer convenience and display features found higher up.
• Powertrain: The gas model uses a 2.5-litre turbocharged engine with 277 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic and standard AWD. The hybrid is a separate model with a 1.6-litre engine and electric motor.
• Safety package: Every trim gets adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, forward collision avoidance assist with pedestrian, cyclist, and junction turning detection, lane keeping and lane following assist, a driver attention monitor, and safe exit assist. Rear parking collision avoidance assist, side park distance warning, and Highway Drive Assist require more money, and the top trim adds blind spot avoidance while the top two trims get Blind View Monitor.
• Infotainment: Every gas version gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Navigation is built in only on the Luxury and Ultimate Calligraphy trims, and over-the-air updates are standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The gas model is rated at 10.6 L/100 km combined, while the XRT returns 10.8 L/100 km combined. The hybrid is the most efficient at 6.9 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe is offered in 3 trim levels: XRT, Luxury, and Ultimate Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• XRT: This is the most rugged-looking choice, with off-road-focused styling, black roof rails, and 18-inch wheels. It suits you if you want the Santa Fe’s bold design and standard AWD without chasing the most expensive luxury features.
• Luxury: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds navigation and moves you closer to the more premium end of the lineup without jumping all the way to the top.
• Ultimate Calligraphy: This is the most luxurious version, with 21-inch wheels, captain’s chairs, a digital rearview mirror, a head-up display, wireless charging for two phones, and the Blind View Monitor.

The top trim gets blind spot avoidance, and the top two trims get Blind View Monitor.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 280 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.98% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $44,132 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe's resale value?

The current average of $44,132 CAD sits slightly below last year's $50,715 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right point in the cycle. If you purchase near the current average or below, you may have less downside exposure than someone who bought when prices were higher.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe safe?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe earns four-star ratings from NHTSA and a Good rating from IIHS, with Acceptable results in the headlight and LATCH categories.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Hyundai equips every trim with adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, forward collision avoidance assist with pedestrian, cyclist, and junction turning detection, lane keeping and lane following assist, a driver attention monitor, and safe exit assist. Higher trims add rear parking collision avoidance assist, side park distance warning, Highway Drive Assist, blind spot avoidance, and Blind View Monitor.

The main caveat is that some of the more advanced driver-assistance features are not standard, so you need to shop carefully if those matter to you.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 stands out for its bold styling and high-tech family focus.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $41,237 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $44,132 CAD average.
• It introduced the bold redesign and a longer wheelbase.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year pricing context and the current market softness, the 2025 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money and you’re happy with the redesign’s core strengths, the 2024 is the smarter value play.
