Is the 2024 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Honda Odyssey earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It is aimed at buyers who want a family minivan that leans into comfort, practicality, and convenience rather than novelty, and it remains one of the more feature-rich choices in the segment. Its use-case fit is especially strong if you want a spacious, easygoing people mover with a sedan-like driving feel and a long list of family-focused features. The market also shows 30.3% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Odyssey is described as benefiting from a more rigid structure, which is said to improve cabin quietness, crash performance, and long-term refinement. It also keeps a familiar front-wheel-drive V6 formula and a strong safety focus, which supports its reputation as a practical family vehicle. That said, early years of this generation have drawn complaints about electrical glitches, infotainment issues, and transmission problems, so a careful inspection and maintenance review matter for used buyers.

Long-term ownership risk is manageable if you verify service history and test all electronics thoroughly before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Odyssey?

It looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently without assuming every listing is a bargain.

• Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 221 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.06% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,245 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $47,245 CAD sits slightly below last year's $51,952 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably now, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively if the market stays loose. The Odyssey’s strong family appeal and feature-rich setup should help it remain desirable among used minivan shoppers. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain it well, you should have a solid chance of preserving value relative to less sought-after alternatives.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $50,686 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $47,245 CAD average.
• It adds updated tech and a new rear-seat entertainment system.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better value if you want the strongest mix of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If you are willing to pay more for newer tech, the 2025 is the cleaner upgrade, but price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2024 first.
