How much does the 2024 Honda Odyssey cost?

Prices have softened 9.07% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 222 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Honda Odyssey earns a 5/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a family minivan focused on comfort, practicality, and convenience. The overview points to a spacious, easygoing people mover with a strong safety focus, a rigid structure for added refinement, and a long list of family-friendly features. In Canada, that includes seating for seven, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a moonroof, a power tailgate, leather seating, CabinTalk, a rear-seat entertainment system, and Magic Slide second-row seats.

That combination makes it a strong fit if you want a well-equipped minivan that prioritises everyday usability over novelty. The market also shows 31.5% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview also suggests the 2024 Odyssey benefits from a more rigid structure, which is said to improve cabin quietness, crash performance, and long-term refinement. At the same time, you should pay close attention to maintenance records and a thorough test drive, since early examples of this generation have drawn complaints about electrical glitches, infotainment issues, and transmission problems.

For used buyers, that means the long-term ownership risk is manageable if the van has been cared for properly, but a neglected example could be more expensive to sort out.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right example.

• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 222 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.07% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,239 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $47,239 CAD sits slightly below last year's $51,948 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more confidently now, but it also suggests future sellers may need to be realistic if the market stays competitive. A minivan with strong family appeal and a broad feature set should still attract interest, especially from shoppers who value comfort and practicality. If you keep the vehicle well maintained, you should be in a better position to protect its value when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $50,661 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $47,239 CAD average.
• It adds updated tech and a new rear-seat entertainment system.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2024 if you want the better value and a strong mix of comfort, practicality, and features. If you are price-sensitive, the 2024 is the smarter buy; if you want the newer tech updates and are willing to pay more, the 2025 is the alternative to compare.
