Used 2024 Chevrolet Trax for Sale nearEdmonton, AB

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Trax cost?

Prices have softened 7.14% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 504 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 4.6/5 user-rated model with an 8.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise the Trax for its sporty design, fuel efficiency, comfort, modern technology, and value for money. The overview also positions it as an affordable small crossover that feels more modern than the old formula, with a focus on shoppers moving up from discontinued small cars or looking for a car-like crossover.

The main trade-offs are that some owners want more power and more interior space, while the expert review also calls out the lack of all-wheel drive and the cabin’s ergonomic design. Even so, the Trax’s strong mix of style, efficiency, and value makes it appealing if you want an entry-level crossover that feels current rather than basic.

The market shows 30.2% of listings as good or great deals, which points to a healthy number of attractive options.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a dependable-feeling package, with praise for comfort, fuel efficiency, and value that tends to matter in long-term ownership. It also highlights the Trax as a modern, practical small crossover that many owners feel good about living with day to day.

The expert review adds that the Trax’s powertrain and suspension are well sorted, and that the vehicle feels refined for its class. Chevy’s three-year, 60,000-kilometre bumper-to-bumper warranty and five-year, 100,000-kilometre powertrain coverage also help reduce early ownership risk.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that some drivers may still wish for more power, more space, or all-wheel drive, so it’s worth making sure the Trax’s packaging fits your needs before you buy.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Trax?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: LS models are the most basic, with 17-inch steel wheels, cloth upholstery, and an 8-inch touchscreen, while higher trims add 18-inch or 19-inch aluminium wheels, Evotex upholstery, and more distinctive styling. The Activ trim leans more rugged, while the RS trims add a sportier look.
• Powertrain: You get one engine choice: a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder with 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. It is front-wheel drive only, and the review notes that the engine feels stronger than its size suggests, with minimal turbo lag and confident highway passing.
• Safety package: Standard driver aids include automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, and a following distance indicator. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist are optional.
• Infotainment: LS and 1RS trims get an 8-inch touchscreen, while LT, 2RS, and Activ models upgrade to an 11-inch touchscreen and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, along with wireless phone charging on some trims.
• Fuel efficiency: The Trax returns 7.9 L/100 km combined, with 8.3 L/100 km in the city and 7.4 L/100 km on the highway.

Which 2024 Chevrolet Trax trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Trax is offered in 5 trim levels: LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS, Activ.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry point and can live with the basics. You still get the Trax’s core design, standard safety assists, and an 8-inch touchscreen, but it is the most stripped-back version.
• 1RS: This trim adds a sportier look without moving too far up the price ladder, making it a good choice if you want more style than the LS but do not need the bigger screen or extra convenience features.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it brings the 11-inch touchscreen, 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and additional rear-seat USB ports, making the Trax feel much more modern and usable.
• 2RS: Choose this if you want the sportier appearance and the upgraded tech package together. It suits you if style and a more premium-feeling cabin matter more than keeping costs down.
• Activ: This is the right pick if you prefer the more rugged look and want the same larger-screen tech as the LT and 2RS, with a slightly different personality.

Advanced safety features are not standard, so if those matter to you, look closely at trims and options before you decide.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Trax?

The market looks moderately favourable for selective buyers, especially if you are comparing multiple listings and waiting for the right price.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 504 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.14% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,819 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $23,819 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,651 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Trax is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago, which can help if you are shopping used now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, trim, and equipment rather than on broad market momentum alone.

Because the Trax is positioned as an affordable, modern small crossover, well-kept examples with the right features should remain appealing to budget-conscious shoppers. If demand stays centred on value, efficiency, and technology, cleaner listings should continue to attract attention.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax safe?

The Trax does not have published IIHS or NHTSA crash-test ratings in the source material here.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety assist features include automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, and a following distance indicator. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist are optional.

The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you may need to move up or add options to get the full suite you want. The Teen Driver system is standard as well, which adds another layer of oversight for newer drivers.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 Trax is a totally revamped second-generation model with a bigger footprint, more styling attention, and the tech features that make it feel much more modern than the old version.

The bottom line: If you want the most modern Trax experience, the 2024 model is the one to target because it brings the redesign, stronger tech, and a value-focused market position together. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, a different year may be worth comparing, but the 2024 is the better pick when you want the newer look and feel without moving up to a pricier crossover.
