Used 2024 Chevrolet Trax for Sale nearAbbotsford, BC

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Trax cost?

Prices have softened 8.76% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 449 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Trax earns a 4.62/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its sporty design, fuel efficiency, comfort, and value for money, and they also like the modern technology. In practical terms, that lines up well with a small crossover that is meant to bridge the gap between a car and an SUV while staying affordable and easy to live with.

The trade-offs are worth noting: it does not offer all-wheel drive, and some buyers wish it had more power and interior space. Even so, the Trax’s positioning as an entry-level crossover makes it a sensible fit if you want style and tech without stretching your budget.

Only 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is somewhat selective rather than flooded with bargains.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free feel in everyday use, with praise for its comfort, value, and fuel efficiency. That kind of response usually matters most if you plan to keep the vehicle for several years and want something you can count on.

The 1.2-litre turbocharged engine is described as responsive and worry-free in highway passing, with minimal turbo lag, which supports confidence in day-to-day dependability. Chevy’s three-year, 60,000-kilometre bumper-to-bumper warranty and five-year, 100,000-kilometre powertrain coverage also help reduce early ownership risk.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the Trax’s modest power and space will still suit your needs over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Trax?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LS starts with cloth upholstery, 17-inch steel wheels, and an 8-inch touchscreen, while higher trims add Evotex upholstery, 18-inch or 19-inch aluminium wheels, and more upscale styling touches. The base trim is the most stripped-back, so you should check whether the features you want are standard or reserved for higher grades.
• Powertrain: You get one engine: a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder with 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive only. It is tuned for efficiency and easy response rather than outright power.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, and a following distance indicator. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist are optional.
• Infotainment: LS and 1RS trims get an 8-inch touchscreen, while LT, 2RS, and Activ models upgrade to an 11-inch touchscreen and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, and wireless phone charging is also offered on higher trims.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates the Trax at 7.9 litres per 100 kilometres combined, 8.3 city, and 7.4 highway.

Which 2024 Chevrolet Trax trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Trax is offered in 5 trim levels: LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS, and Activ.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and can live with the basics. You still get the redesigned Trax’s modern look, standard safety assist features, and an 8-inch touchscreen, but it is the most no-frills version.
• 1RS: This trim adds a sportier appearance while keeping the Trax relatively affordable. It is a good fit if you want more style than the LS without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it brings the larger 11-inch touchscreen, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and additional rear-seat USB ports. If you want the Trax to feel properly modern, this is the sweet spot.
• 2RS: Choose this if you want the sportier RS look along with the upgraded tech and a more distinctive personality. It suits buyers who care about appearance and a richer feature set.
• Activ: This is the trim to consider if you prefer the more rugged styling theme and want the same larger-screen tech package as the LT and 2RS. It is the most personality-driven version of the Trax.

Safety features are standard across the lineup, but adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist remain optional rather than standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Trax?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should still compare listings carefully before moving quickly.

• Deal availability: 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 449 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.76% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,889 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $23,889 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,182 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Trax has become more accessible for used buyers, which can make it a tougher sell for owners hoping to maximise resale in the short term. If you are planning to sell later, the current softness means you may need to price competitively to stand out.

At the same time, the Trax’s broad appeal as a stylish, efficient, value-focused crossover should help keep demand steady. Models that combine strong fuel economy, modern tech, and good owner satisfaction often remain easier to move than more ordinary alternatives.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax safe?

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety assist features include automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, and a following distance indicator. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist are optional.

The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard across the lineup, so you should confirm exactly which driver-assistance items are fitted on the used example you are considering.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 model year marks the Trax’s thoroughly redesigned return, with more style, more technology, and a bigger, more substantial feel than the original.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned Trax with its stronger tech story and modernised packaging, the 2024 is the one to target. If you are mainly shopping on price, you can still find value here, but it is worth comparing listings carefully and prioritising the best-equipped trim you can afford.
