How much does the 2023 Lexus RX cost?

Prices have softened 11.47% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 234 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Lexus RX a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Lexus RX earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

The redesigned RX is aimed at you if you want a polished two-row luxury SUV that puts comfort, refinement, safety, and style first. The cabin is a clear strength, with premium materials and modern technology, and the overall package feels meaningfully improved without abandoning the RX’s established appeal.

The main trade-offs are a standard suspension that can feel unsettled on rough pavement, limited cargo space, and head-up display integration that is not especially good. Even so, 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Lexus RX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The RX’s appeal is built around reliability, refinement, safety, and style, and the expert assessment reinforces that reputation with a strong overall score. Its turbocharged 2.4-litre engine is described as a good choice, and the vehicle’s comfort-focused character should suit you well if you want a luxury SUV that feels settled and polished in everyday use.

Lexus also layers in a broad set of standard driver-assistance features, which supports confidence in daily ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic dependability and more about living with the RX’s comfort-first compromises if you expect sharper handling or more cargo flexibility.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Lexus RX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The RX 350 is offered with F Sport 1, Luxury, F Sport 2, Executive, Executive, and F Sport 3 trim levels. The cabin is modern and upscale, with digital instrumentation, a 9.8-inch or 14-inch touchscreen display, and available head-up display, while NuLuxe artificial leather is standard and genuine leather is available on some versions. If you want the most complete equipment, the higher trims add more premium touches, while the base setup is more straightforward.
• Powertrain: The RX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-litre inline four-cylinder engine with 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It is described as a good choice overall, with slightly better fuel economy than the outgoing V6, though it is not as smooth and refined sounding.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard, and it includes lane departure warning, automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, motorcycle detection, evasive steering assistance, intersection turn assistance with front cross-traffic alert, and a curve speed-reduction function with adaptive cruise control. Proactive Driving Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, and Advanced Park Assist are also newly available, but some functions depend on equipment and settings.
• Infotainment: Lexus Interface uses a 9.8-inch or 14-inch touchscreen and includes wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, satellite radio, connected services, user profiles, and available digital key smartphone technology. OTA capability is not stated.
• Fuel efficiency: The RX 350 AWD is estimated at 9.9 L/100 km in combined driving, and the testing loop returned 10.5 L/100 km and 10.8 L/100 km.

Which 2023 Lexus RX trim should I buy?

The 2023 Lexus RX is offered in 6 trim levels: RX 350, F Sport 1, Luxury, F Sport 2, Executive, and F Sport 3.

Here's the short version:

• RX 350: This is the starting point if you want the RX’s core strengths — comfort, premium materials, and strong technology — without paying for extra equipment you may not need. It suits you best if you value the RX formula more than sportier tuning.
• F Sport 1: Choose this if you want a more expressive look and a step up in driver-focused character while staying close to the RX’s comfort-first mission. It makes sense if you want a little more personality without going all the way to the top trims.
• Luxury: This is the best-value trim if your priority is a more upscale feel and you want the RX to lean harder into its premium-cabin strengths. It should suit you if comfort and refinement matter more than sport tuning.
• F Sport 2: Pick this if you want a stronger blend of style and equipment than the lower trims provide. It is a good middle ground if you want more presence and features without jumping to the most expensive versions.
• Executive: This trim is for you if you want the most polished luxury experience and are willing to pay for it. It builds on the RX’s upscale cabin and technology with a more premium overall feel.
• F Sport 3: This is the most performance-oriented RX 350 in the lineup, with adaptive damping suspension and upgraded brakes. It is the best choice if you want the most controlled ride and the most secure-feeling chassis tuning.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard across the RX lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lexus RX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 234 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.47% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $49,926 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $49,926 CAD sits slightly below last year's $56,395 CAD.

That price movement suggests the RX has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help demand in the near term. For a future seller, it also means you may need to price competitively if you want to stand out against a larger pool of shoppers.

The RX’s strong reputation for reliability, refinement, safety, and style should continue to support interest over time. If the market keeps valuing comfort-focused luxury SUVs, well-kept examples should remain appealing.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Lexus RX safe?

The 2023 RX earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2023 RX also gets Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 (LSS+ 3.0), a robust collection of advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS). It contains lane departure warning, automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, motorcycle detection, evasive steering assistance, intersection turn assistance with front cross-traffic alert, and a curve speed-reduction function when using adaptive cruise control.

Proactive Driving Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, and Advanced Park Assist are newly available for 2023. The system is impressive overall, but the head-up display integration can make some controls and warnings harder to interpret, especially if you wear polarized sunglasses.

Should I buy a 2023 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesigned RX brings a more modern cabin and stronger technology while keeping the model’s comfort-first character.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $44,168 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $49,926 CAD average.
• It is a carryover model that still leans on comfort, style, and dependability.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $55,507 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $49,926 CAD average.
• It leans even more into comfort and fuel efficiency.

The bottom line: If you want the most balanced version of the RX’s redesign, the 2023 is the one to target. If price matters most, the 2022 gives you a lower entry point with much of the same core appeal. If you want to spend more for a newer model-year alternative, the 2024 is worth comparing, but the 2023 already captures the RX’s main strengths well.
