Yes — the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee earns a 5/5 user rating, which supports its appeal if you want an SUV that blends genuine off-road ability with a more premium, luxury-leaning character. It is aimed at buyers who want refinement without giving up real trail capability, and its standard four-wheel drive plus wide spread of 4WD systems reinforce that use case. Is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

The 2023 Grand Cherokee’s appeal comes from its established formula: capability, comfort, and upscale features in one package. Its standard V6 and eight-speed automatic are straightforward, and the model’s broad equipment range gives you flexibility to choose the level of sophistication you want. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that higher-spec versions can become expensive to maintain and repair as equipment complexity rises.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 480 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.59% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $38,125 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $38,194 CAD sits slightly below last year's $40,890 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also means a future seller may face a more competitive resale environment if prices stay under pressure. The good news is that the Grand Cherokee’s mix of premium features and real off-road capability gives it a clear identity, which can help sustain buyer interest. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and choose a well-equipped trim, you may be better positioned when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $33,704 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $38,194 CAD average.
• The redesign brings a significant upgrade in technology and sophistication.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market mix of inventory, pricing momentum, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the better value path and still delivers the Grand Cherokee’s core strengths.
