What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Lincoln Nautilus?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The sole Canadian model is the Reserve, and it brings the upscale exterior treatment and premium cabin presentation that define the Nautilus. Look closely at interior finish quality, since some chrome-plated plastic pieces and the centre console area can feel less luxurious than the rest of the SUV.
• Powertrain: You get a standard turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, plus an available twin-turbocharged 2.7-litre V6 with 335 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. The V6 is the stronger choice if you want more passing power and a more relaxed feel.
• Safety package: Every model includes Lincoln Co-Pilot360 1.0 with forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. The Black Label adds Lincoln Co-Pilot360 1.0 Plus with adaptive cruise control, lane-centring assistance, evasive steering assist, a surround-view camera system, and rear parking sensors.
• Infotainment: The Nautilus uses a 13.2-inch touchscreen with Sync 4, plus a 12.3-inch digital instrument display. You also get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, over-the-air updates, Bluetooth, Lincoln Connect, a Wi-Fi hotspot, SiriusXM 360L, wireless charging, and a 19-speaker Revel audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 is rated at 11.2 L/100 km combined, 12.6 L/100 km in the city, and 9.3 L/100 km on the highway.

Which 2022 Lincoln Nautilus trim should I buy?

The 2022 Lincoln Nautilus is offered in 1 trim level: Reserve.

Here's the short version:

The Reserve is the trim to focus on because it is the only Canadian version and already brings the Nautilus’s core luxury appeal. You get the upscale styling, the premium cabin presentation, and the full set of standard driver-assistance features, so there is no lower trim to compromise on. If you want the strongest version of this model year’s formula, this is the one to shop.

The standard safety package is already comprehensive, while the Black Label adds extra driver-assistance equipment if you find one equipped that way.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Lincoln Nautilus?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 115 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.32% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,968 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Lincoln Nautilus's resale value?

The current average of $32,968 CAD sits slightly below last year's $39,876 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be good news if you are buying now but less favourable if you are planning to sell soon. A softer used-price environment usually means future resale gains may be more limited unless demand strengthens.

Even so, the Nautilus’s upscale presentation and broad feature set help it stay appealing to shoppers looking for a comfortable luxury SUV. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Lincoln Nautilus safe?

The 2022 Nautilus earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2022 Nautilus has Lincoln Co-Pilot360 1.0, which includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. The Black Label adds Lincoln Co-Pilot360 1.0 Plus, which brings adaptive cruise control, lane-centring assistance, evasive steering assist, a surround-view camera system, and rear parking sensors.

The only noted NHTSA shortcoming is a four-star rollover rating, which is common for SUVs.

Should I buy a 2022 Lincoln Nautilus or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.32% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It benefits from the continuous improvement approach that helps this generation feel like it has aged gracefully.

The bottom line: The 2022 Nautilus makes sense if you want a well-equipped, comfortable luxury SUV at a softer used price than it carried a year ago. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2022 remains a strong choice for shoppers who value comfort, technology, and a polished cabin.
