How much does the 2022 Jeep Cherokee cost?

Prices have softened 18.40% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 332 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for shoppers comparing options.

Is the 2022 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Jeep Cherokee earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its strong performance, comfortable ride, and desirable features, and many also like the responsive handling and classic style. In practical terms, that makes it a good fit if you want a compact SUV with Jeep character, all-weather traction appeal, and a more feature-rich setup than earlier versions of this generation. With 32.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also leans toward dependable day-to-day use, with reviews highlighting a comfortable, trouble-free feel and confidence in the vehicle’s overall character. That said, the broader generation has a history of transmission concerns, so used buyers should still prioritise a thorough test drive and service-history review before committing to long-term ownership.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to be choosy without waiting forever.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 332 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.40% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,150 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $26,150 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,044 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Cherokee has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilises. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside left than a shopper paying closer to the top of the range. Strong owner satisfaction can also help support demand when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.40% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the better pick if you want the most complete version of this generation’s Cherokee with strong owner approval and a softer used-market price. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2022 stands out as the more compelling balance of features, satisfaction, and current value.
