Is the 2020 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Jeep Cherokee earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its strong performance, comfortable ride, and spacious, well-equipped interior. That makes sense if you want a compact SUV that blends Jeep styling with everyday usability and practical cargo space. Is the 2020 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

User feedback highlights a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with many drivers describing the Cherokee as comfortable and enjoyable over time. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is making sure the specific example you choose has been maintained carefully and drives as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to shop carefully and compare listings before committing.

• Deal availability: 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 495 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.71% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,111 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $21,111 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,045 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Cherokee has softened in the used market, which can be a mixed signal if you plan to sell later. On one hand, lower entry prices can help you buy more affordably now. On the other, a softer market can mean you may not recover as much when it is time to trade in or sell privately. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.71% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 Cherokee makes the most sense if you want a well-liked used SUV with a softer price trend and enough inventory to shop selectively. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year with a lower average price may be worth a look, but the 2020 remains the better all-around pick if you value owner satisfaction and current market value.
