Used 2023 Jeep Cherokee for SaleNationwide

How much does the 2023 Jeep Cherokee cost?

Prices have softened 16.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 170 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of choice in the used market.

Is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Jeep Cherokee earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a compact SUV that blends everyday usability with a distinctive Jeep character. The overview points to a simpler final-year lineup, standard 8.4-inch touchscreen tech, and available all-weather traction, so you get a practical used SUV with some extra personality. If you want a road-friendly shape with a bit of Jeep hardware, it fits that brief well. The market also shows 32.9% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview also notes that the Cherokee’s later model-year updates improved its everyday usability, while its final-year setup kept the lineup straightforward. Even so, the generation’s history includes transmission concerns and some weaker engines, so a used example still deserves a careful inspection and test drive before you commit. For long-term ownership, that means condition and maintenance history matter more than the badge alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 170 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.38% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $30,775 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $30,775 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,802 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Cherokee has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market than owners saw a year ago. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it comes time to sell. The model’s distinctive styling and Jeep branding can still help it stand out in a crowded compact SUV segment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the better pick if you want the simplest version of this generation with updated standard tech and a more selective used-market price. If you’re mainly focused on value, a nearby year may still be worth comparing, but the 2023 makes sense when you want the final-year Cherokee experience and can find one priced near the lower end of the range.
