Is the 2019 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Jeep Cherokee earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its comfort, smooth ride, and feature content, while also highlighting the spacious interior and the V6’s performance. For you, that makes it a sensible pick if you want a practical SUV with a more polished feel, useful everyday usability, and good value for money. With 26.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle that many owners find comfortable, smooth, and dependable in day-to-day use, with several praising its overall value and feature set. That said, some shoppers mention tech issues and missing features on lower trims, so you should pay close attention to equipment and condition when comparing used examples.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the vehicle has been well maintained and thoroughly checked before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 408 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.83% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,713 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $17,736 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,824 CAD.

That softer pricing can be helpful if you're buying now, but it also means future resale upside may be more limited unless you choose carefully. If you plan to sell later, a well-kept example with desirable equipment and strong presentation should hold up better than a basic, higher-mileage one. The current market suggests buyers are still interested, but they are being selective about value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the better choice if you want the refreshed styling, added standard tech, and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2019 is the stronger pick if you value the updated cabin and broader appeal.
