How much does the 2019 Jeep Cherokee cost?

Is the 2019 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Jeep Cherokee earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its comfort, smooth ride, and array of features, and many also like the spacious interior and the V6’s performance. For you, that makes it a sensible choice if you want a used SUV with updated tech, a more mainstream look than earlier versions, and everyday practicality. With 31.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience for many drivers, with praise centred on comfort, smooth driving manners, and a feature-rich cabin. Some owners describe it as a vehicle they can count on for daily use, especially when they value a quiet ride and a spacious interior.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that some examples may have tech-related concerns or trim-specific compromises, so a careful pre-purchase inspection matters.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you’re comparing multiple listings.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 421 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.39% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,720 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $17,759 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,989 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer resale environment than owners saw a year ago. If you buy now, you may benefit from the lower entry price, but you should still think about how quickly values could move if supply stays healthy. The Cherokee’s appeal is helped by its broad owner satisfaction and practical cabin, which can support demand when you eventually sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of updated styling, improved standard tech, and strong owner satisfaction, the 2019 is the year to focus on. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year with a lower asking price may be worth considering, but you may give up some of the 2019’s refreshed design and equipment.
