There are 327 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Jeep Cherokee earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its strong performance, comfortable ride, responsive handling, and desirable features, while also appreciating its classic style. For you, that makes it a compelling choice if you want a compact SUV with Jeep character, all-weather traction appeal, and a more complete feature set than earlier versions of this generation. With 32.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some market flexibility if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights a vehicle that feels dependable in day-to-day use, with praise centred on comfort, performance, and the kind of ownership experience people are happy to keep for the long term. That said, you should still approach a used example with care because this generation has a history that calls for a careful test drive and close inspection before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 327 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.71% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,518 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $26,518 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,227 CAD.

For a future seller, that softer pricing trend means the market is currently valuing this model more cautiously than it did a year ago. If you buy now, you may be entering at a more favourable point than previous shoppers did. That can help limit depreciation pressure if prices stabilise. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.71% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the better pick if you want the most complete version of this generation’s Cherokee experience, especially with its stronger feature set and broader appeal. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2022 makes the most sense when you want a well-equipped used Cherokee and are willing to pay for the improved package.
