Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 392 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.56% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,487 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $15,781 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,470 CAD.

That softer pricing can be good news if you're buying now, but it also means future resale upside may be more limited if the market stays cautious. If you plan to sell later, the Cherokee’s value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well it has been maintained. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers who want a compact SUV with available 4x4 capability and a practical cabin.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Cherokee makes the most sense if you want a well-liked used compact SUV with strong owner approval and you can find one priced near the lower end of the market. If you're especially price-sensitive, it can also be worth comparing nearby years to see whether a similar Cherokee offers a better deal, but the 2018 remains a solid primary target when condition and price line up.
