What is the 2021 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $49,845 CAD sits slightly below last year's $56,201 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy with less risk of immediate overpaying. If you plan to sell later, the softer current pricing may limit near-term upside, but it also means your entry point is more realistic than it was a year ago. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it is time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.69/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.69/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $42,152 CAD, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $49,845 CAD average.
• It blends serious capability with an unusually upscale feel.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced mix of current pricing, owner satisfaction, and market availability, the 2021 is the stronger default choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2020 is the better value-focused alternative, especially if you can live with its older-year pricing and feature set.
