Is the 2019 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.58/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the truck’s performance, comfort, and towing capability, and they also highlight the upscale interior features and powerful diesel engine. That makes it a strong fit if you want a heavy-duty pickup that can handle demanding work while still feeling refined for daily use. With 33.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 RAM 2500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.58/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, especially those who value the truck’s long-term capability and diesel strength. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the truck’s core appeal and more about finding one that has been maintained properly over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 RAM 2500?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 222 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.65% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $40,141 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $40,145 CAD sits slightly below last year's $46,490 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the truck easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. For future sellers, the softer pricing means you may need to be more competitive on condition, kilometres, and equipment to stand out. Strongly equipped examples should still hold attention from buyers who want capability and comfort in one package.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.58/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.58/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $42,152 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $40,145 CAD average.
• It adds a more polished presence and a broader sense of luxury.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping the market carefully. If you can stretch your budget and want a slightly more refined feel, the 2020 is the better secondary path; otherwise, the 2019 remains the smarter buy for price-sensitive shoppers.
