Is the 2022 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 RAM 2500 earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Owners consistently praise its power, comfortable ride, and excellent interior features. The towing capability also stands out, and many owners describe it as a strong fit for both work and leisure. Is the 2022 RAM 2500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also highlights reliability, with many drivers describing it as dependable and a truck they can count on. That matters if you plan to keep your used truck for the long haul, because consistent owner confidence usually points to lower day-to-day ownership stress.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is paying too much for a truck that may have seen hard towing or heavy work use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 RAM 2500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 328 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.83% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $56,254 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $57,158 CAD sits slightly below last year's $63,390 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be helpful if you're buying now but less favourable if you're planning to sell soon. A softer used-price environment can mean more competition from similarly priced trucks, so future sellers may need to price carefully to stand out.

Even so, the model's strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it's time to resell. Trucks that are well regarded by owners often stay easier to move in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $67,377 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $57,158 CAD average.
• It adds a more off-road-focused Rebel variant.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the better value if you want strong capability, a well-liked cabin, and a lower entry price. If you want the newer model-year pricing and a more off-road-oriented setup, the 2023 is worth a look, but price-sensitive buyers will likely find the 2022 easier to justify.
