Used 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee for Sale nearMarkham, ON

How much does the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee cost?

Prices have softened 12.93% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 551 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee earns a 4.62/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, smooth ride, impressive power, off-road capability, advanced technology features, and luxury feel. In practical terms, that makes it a strong fit if you want a two-row SUV with a premium vibe and broad everyday usefulness. The model’s final-year status before the redesign also gives it appeal if you prefer the established version of the Grand Cherokee formula.

Only 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful shopping.

Is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many buyers, with owners often describing it as a vehicle they can count on over the long term. The expert review also frames it as a capable, all-around SUV that can handle daily driving and adventure with confidence.

Jeep’s regular incentives can help offset ownership costs, and the review notes up to $8,194 in incentives in Ontario at the time of writing. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a well-equipped older SUV can bring higher maintenance exposure as mileage climbs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Laredo and Limited are the affordable trims, while the Overland and Summit move you into a more upscale feel. The Summit adds a more premium look and cabin presentation, but the base trims are where you’re most likely to notice feature gaps if you want a luxury-style experience.
• Powertrain: You get a standard 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 with an eight-speed automatic, and an optional 5.7-litre Hemi V8 with Quadra-Trac II 4WD. The V8 brings stronger towing and more character, but it also uses more fuel.
• Safety package: The ProTech II Package bundles adaptive cruise control with full stop-and-go, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and automatic high-beam headlights. Depending on trim, some of these features may not be standard.
• Infotainment: Uconnect 4C with Nav includes navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot. The system is quick and easy to use, and SiriusXM Guardian adds remote functions and emergency services.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says the V8 should return no better than 14.1 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving.

Which 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee trim should I buy?

The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee is offered in 6 trim levels: Laredo, Limited, Overland, Summit, Trailhawk, and 80th Anniversary Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Laredo: This is the entry point if you want the Grand Cherokee experience at the lowest price, but you’ll be giving up the richer materials and equipment that make the higher trims feel more special.
• Limited: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it sits in the sweet spot between price and equipment, giving you a more polished experience without jumping all the way to luxury-trim pricing.
• Trailhawk: Choose this if off-road ability matters most, since it is the trim aimed at serious trail use.
• Overland: This is the better pick if you want a more upscale cabin and a stronger luxury lean without going all the way to Summit pricing.
• Summit: This is the most luxurious mainstream choice in the lineup, with the richest interior presentation and the most premium feel in the review.
• 80th Anniversary Edition: Pick this if you want a commemorative version with added appeal, but compare its equipment carefully against the Limited and Overland before paying extra.

The safety package is a strong reason to shop carefully by trim, since Jeep’s advanced driver-assistance features are not uniformly standard across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 551 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.93% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,649 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $29,691 CAD sits slightly below last year's $34,098 CAD.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside for a future seller. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking the steepest part of the depreciation hit. For resale, the Grand Cherokee’s broad appeal and strong feature set should help it remain desirable, especially in well-equipped trims.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee safe?

The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA with 4WD, but the IIHS gives it Marginal driver protection and Poor front-passenger protection in small-overlap frontal testing, and its headlights also rate Poor unless you upgrade.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep’s ProTech II Package adds adaptive cruise control with full stop-and-go, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and automatic high-beam headlights. The Summit test vehicle had all of these features, but availability depends on trim.

The main caveat is the weak IIHS performance, which is the biggest safety drawback to keep in mind if you’re comparing this SUV with newer rivals.

Should I buy a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.93% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• This year is the final version of the current-generation two-row Grand Cherokee before the redesign.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $26,467 CAD, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $29,691 CAD average.
• It remains familiar and appealing, but still feels like an older-generation SUV.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $34,830 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $29,691 CAD average.
• It brings a redesigned package with a major technology and sophistication upgrade.

The bottom line: If you want the established Grand Cherokee formula at a softer price, the 2021 is the sensible middle ground. If you’re focused on saving money, the 2020 is the cheaper route; if you want the newest design and tech, the 2022 is the better long-term target.
