Is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It stands out because it blends mainstream SUV usability with the kind of capability that has long defined the nameplate, while also offering a wide spread of trims from basic and affordable versions to more luxurious and pricey ones. In Canada, standard four-wheel drive and multiple 4WD systems make it especially appealing if you want an SUV that can handle rough conditions without giving up everyday comfort. With 31.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Grand Cherokee’s appeal comes from its broad trim range, standard four-wheel drive in Canada, and the fact that it remains a relatively new generation with mainstream SUV usability and serious off-road hardware. For used buyers, that usually points to a vehicle that can serve as a practical daily driver while still feeling capable and upscale.

Long-term ownership risk for used buyers will depend heavily on how the vehicle was equipped and maintained, especially on higher-spec versions with more complex hardware.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 582 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.02% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,915 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $42,919 CAD sits slightly below last year's $53,660 CAD.

That drop suggests future sellers may need to price carefully if they want to stay competitive in the used market. It also means buyers today are entering at a lower cost basis than shoppers did a year ago, which can help support demand for well-kept examples. Higher-trim versions may still command stronger interest if they offer the equipment shoppers want most.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.02% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 Grand Cherokee makes the most sense if you want a newer used SUV with strong capability, a wide trim spread, and a lower average price than last year. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2024 is the better starting point if you want the strongest mix of value, equipment choice, and buyer appeal.
