Is the 2020 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Jeep Cherokee earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Drivers consistently praise its strong performance, comfortable ride, and spacious, well-equipped interior. That lines up well with the Cherokee’s role as a compact SUV that blends everyday usability with Jeep’s familiar sense of capability, especially if you want something practical with a bit more personality than the average crossover.

With 28.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2020 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback highlights a vehicle that many owners find dependable in day-to-day use, with strong performance and a comfortable ride standing out most often. That said, some drivers mention weaker acceleration and dislike for the auto-stop function, so the ownership experience can depend on how sensitive you are to those traits.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been well maintained and suits your expectations for refinement and drivability.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 481 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.77% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,093 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $21,093 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,042 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you purchase at the current average, your future resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 Cherokee makes the most sense if you want a well-liked used SUV with a softer price trend and enough inventory to compare carefully. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year could still be worth a look, but the 2020 is the better starting point when you want a balance of owner satisfaction, value, and availability.
